Finish Edge Process

KIMASTLE believes in eliminating wasted space, time, and quality reassuring our customers by minimizing the risks.

Edge Wrapping – Automated process of wrapping a material and bonding using glue or adhesive. KIMASTLE is one of the first automation suppliers to provide this technologies holding patents on various forms of mechanical methods to achieve a wrapped finished edge. Pneumatic, Hydrolic, and Servo driven systems that are flexible and adjustable. Modular tooling pack designs and high precision changes can be made with ease through the HMI requiring less down time and required support.

Edge Folding – Automated process of heating up a ridged material, allowing the material to become pliable. When material is saturated with heat the mechanical details fold or wrap the material and press the material onto itself or reinforcement depending on subject. The material is folded and pressed for a period of time allowing the heat to draw out forming the finished edge and relaxing in a new ridged state.
